Isabel's daycare is having a Thanksgiving feast today. In honor of that occasion, and because I had to stay home with her yesterday because she had a temperature (she's fine now), I found a simple tutorial here to make her a turkey shirt.
Turkey turned out a little....wobbly...like he's had a little too much to eat. One reason why I don't do applique...Although I'm sure if I used the correct interfacing, it would have turned out straight. Ah well...work with what you got.
Not that Isabel minded anyway. She was just happy to get back to daycare to play with all her friends.

Lol, the little brat is too darn cute :D And your turkey shirt is cool too.
One thing I found with Wunder-Under is that you really do need to follow the directions (um, gee...who would have thought? lol). I ignored the part on the directions that said you should shut off the steam on your iron. The first shirt I did--with steam--I had a lot of issues with it not fusing well. The second shirt, I shut off the steam and it made all the difference in the world.
(These are the shirts I made.)
kor: so when are you going to babysit the brat? =p
Amanda: awwww...rudolph is CUTE...see..i didn't even use wunder-under...i think it was a one sided fusible interfacing....so it stuck to the fabric fine, but I couldn't adhere to the tee before ironing
Funnily enough, I had a dream the other day where I was babysitting her while you went out shopping. It was weird...lol.
hah...ok, so when can i mark you down for a babysitting session? I want to go see the new harry potter!
Oh definitely spring for WunderUnder. I thought it was stupid at first, and I was, I don't know, like a purist or something and thought it was for pansies who were too lazy to do it the "right" way.
Turns out, I'm the stupid one, lol. WunderUnder kicks ass. I still stitch around it, both because I like the look and because I'm paranoid, but I don't think that's even necessary.
